And so did Mom and Yvonne:)
Recently, I've been impressed with the sovereignty of God, and the responsibility of man to do what's right. God is in control of everything, and yet He sovereignly allows man to stumble and fall, so that He can pick up the pieces, and get the glory from the ashes. But what happens when man knowingly does wrong? God is still in control! What about when bad things happen when we aren't in control? Does God still have a plan and purpose for it all? I think so. In fact, a friend of mine recently shared these verses with me and I realized how they tie in so well to God's sovereignty and man's responsibility.
"And we know that all things work together
for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate
to be conformed to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate,
them he also called: and whom he called,
them he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things?
If God be for us, who can beagainst us?
He that spared not his own Son,
but delivered him up for us all,
how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
Even when we think everything has gone horribly wrong, and we are in the midst of utter confusion, God is still in control, and through many trying experiences I'm learning that when we can find the faith to trust God, He will bring us through the most difficult circumstances, and we will realize that God's ways, no matter how hard, are always best!
Well, that's my random thoughts and pictures for the month, I hope you enjoyed them:)
